I am looking to have a quick one week beach holiday etc. Most places near the UK have a troublesome visa process if your not an EU citizen. I would prefer to go somewhere thats not very far (probably less than 5-6 hours flying time)

I need some help. I love the beach and i want my room to show it. So… I have things like shells, furniture, and rugs. But, i need some ideas for colors (yellow like the sun or blue like the ocean?), and other little nic nacs. If you have ideas, please let me know if you got them from a website or where I can buy them! Thanks SO MUCH!

I think blues and sand colors make the most restful room for a beach theme. Add some whites too with breezy white curtains. White wicker looks beachy to me, so buy an old wicker chair and spray paint it white.

I found a picture that I love of a beach scene with the ocean, It has beach sand, the ocean and the brownish yellow plants that grow around oceans. I would like to decorate the whole room around that picture. I need help!! My ceiling is white (tiles). I have a non working fireplace but I can dress it up to look like it works. I thought I could put the picture over it.
On the other side of the room there are 2 windows next to each other. It is the first room a person walks into when entering the apt. I thought about windowseats along the wall with the windows but I just don’t. Also what kind of furniture would be appropriate. Right now it’s empty. The picture has pink, several shades of blue, green,yellow I guess mostly pastel colors with some strokes of brown and black. The next room is the kitchen and those colors are white and green (ivy decorations). Any helpful ideas will be appreciated. I should mention money ($$) IS an object, but I can work w/ your ideas. You mentioned money was somewhat of an issue and I also came upon an article that fts perfectly with your scenario the website this article is located on is http://www.betterbudgeting.com/articles/decorating/cottagestyle.htm This article mentions how in cottage style homes the more worn and "homey" the better. So I would recomend going to antique shops and neighborhood garage sales and just look for the things that say YOU. Make sure you add a lot of white into the room because white is a "classic" cottage color. Fabrics and worn peices work very well also. I would also bring in some blue hues and some of those softer shades of green. Have Fun!

It doesn’t seem scripted…it is scripted. These girls aren’t coming up with all these ideas. The producers are telling them what to do, because no one would want to watch what they really do on a day-to-day basis.

I´m moving to San Diego for a couple of months and I´m looking for the right place to live: beach, restaurants, cofee shops, young people. I´m thinking in moving to Ocean beach or PB. What do you think? How much money should I pay for renting? Thank you so much

You would probably like either Ocean Beach or PB. I’d take a look on craigslist to find out how much rent is going for.

"Upstate" is kinda vague to give a specific answer. To some people Peekskill is upstate, to others, upstate doesn’t start until you hit Albany…

Point Au Roche State Park’s Clothing Optional Area is dubious at best. I’ve been to that supposed spot twice and found that I was the only one there. That didn’t bother me, but I have no idea if I was in the right spot. If I was in the correct place, it was a small, rocky, unmaintained area. "Beach" could be used liberally.

Supposedly NYS Park beaches are Top-Free. Legally, a woman can choose too wear or not wear a swimsuit top at any state park. This is something I’ve never seen.

There are several excellent lakes in the High Peaks area that are great for nude swimming and tanning. http://www.swimmingholes.org will give you some ideas. It lists many swimming areas and notes if clothing is optional.

Many Capital Area Nudists frequently visit The Ledges in Vermont.
http://ledges.dimentech.com/ The Ledges are an excellent area for sunning and swimming, but much of the beach is usually under water until after early July. It’s on a reservoir and water levels take some time to drop. August is the best time to go. Takes about 90-100 minutes to get there from Downtown Troy (without traffic.)

As others pointed out, there are several nudist clubs in the area as well. I have not visited the NY clubs as of yet, but we have many New Yorkers from Rockland and Putnam counties that come to Rock Lodge in NJ.http://www.rocklodge.com/index.html We have a small lake with floating docks as well as plenty of space to work on your tan.

i’ve looked a hotwire expedia etc etc but i’m looking for more of a resort like beaches and it’s not on jamaica. mom doesn’t want to go there, but any of the caribbean islands are fine.

and for a 7 day trip too,
that are for families. fun yet safe. if you can tell me a good resort that would really, really help.

Im 17 and I have been on many family vacations in the carribean. One of my favourite chains is the Gran Bahia Principe. Its located in various parts of Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and other places. My favourite was the one in the Mayan Riveria, Mexico called the Bahia Principe Tulum. I enjoyed that one alot. There was alot to do for the whole family. It shares the property with its sister resorts Bahia Principe Akumal and Coba. So you can visit those as well so there isnt a dull moment.

Somewhere outside of Turkey please? A beach vacation for a couple and yea we dont really have big budget for this! ;P

Boracay Beach or Palawan in the Philippines. There are many other less known nice eco resorts scattered throughout the archipelago.
Definitely the most bang for your $ in Asia.
