Would it be okay to have a bonfire around this time?
Thanks so far. But do you think it would be a good idea to have it around this time? It’s getting sunnier now and the rain is gone. But what’s it usually like at night over there?

There are fire rings at Ocean Beach between Lincoln and Fulton, and they’re available on a first-come, first-served basis. You aren’t allowed to have fires outside of the fire rings.

If you’re planning a party of more than 25 people, you need a special permit, which costs $50. The permit does NOT reserve a fire ring – it just gives you permission to have a group.

The parking lot closes at 10 PM.

Any suggestions for kid and baby-friendly rental areas/towns on the Jersey Shore? We’d like to stay on or very close to the beach, but away from "party" houses and bars.

Ocean City NJ would be good. It is a dry town, so there aren’t any bars, and there are not a lot of parties either. Nice boardwalk and good family atmosphere. It’s close (15 min drive) to Atlantic City if you’re trying to leave the kids home for a night and go out on your own. Has a good boardwalk with amusements, games, food, waterslides, rides, etc. I would suggest staying a few blocks away from the boardwalk (streets #ed 20+) as there is more open space and the beaches are not as crowded.

Germans tend not to laugh about that, and especially on a nudist beach people are not judgemental about bodies which are not perfect.
So I guess you will be allright.

I am planning a trip to florida for the first time. I wanted to visit Seaworld since we are going with our 2 Year old. But i wanted to go to a BEACH resort. The hotels Seaworld offers have no beaches. Thanks. in advance!

There are no beaches in Orlando as it is in Central Florida and is land locked. Your option would be to pick a community on one of the coasts and then drive to Sea World on the day you’d like to visit. I’m partial to the West Coast because that is where I live, but there are very nice places on both coasts. My suggestion would be Clearwater Beach. From here to Sea World takes anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours depending on traffic.

I’m looking for a seclude place on the beach for our 25th Anniversary. We would some activies to do and prefer it to be all inclusive.

Well, Lanikai Beach on Oahu is very nice. It’s a public beach, but if you go in the winter months, it’s pretty empty.
You could also try some of the nicer hotels near Honolulu, they probably won’t have too much traffic.

We are planning a summer vacation. I would like to visit Savannah Ga for a couple of days and then spend the next 3 or 4 days at a beach not to far from savannah. We DONT want to go into Florida as we are driving from Virginia. What is a good family beach to visit with fun things to do for teens as well as adults? We are looking for a beach with hotel/motels not condos/rental houses.

Tybee Island
It is About 20 miles out side there are some good restaraunts and decent hotels.
If you want to avoid a crowded beach go to the Tybee creek. It is all the way down the main street(Butler Avenue) than veer of onto Inlet Ave.
There are also plenty of dolphin, kayaking and deep sea fishing tours to do
You can visit Fort Pulaski and the Tybee lighthouse
My favorite restraunt is the Breakfast Club you have to try it(get there early or the line will be to long)

Formenterra, It’s an island South of Ibiza it’s peaceful, and the beaches are unmatchable any where in the world it’s stunning

I have a small room and it needs a change it’s blue and pink currently and I would like it to be those colours;
and the room MUST be low budget!

If possible, and needed go to wood floors. It is hard to pull off a beach theme with carpet.

By "those colors" do you mean you want to stay with blue and pink? If by "those" (rather than these) you mean beach colors – traditionally are blue, yellow, sand, and white. Colors you would find at the beach. Shaded correctly, pink could work as a more tropical beach theme.

Paint is inexpensive. Furniture should be minimal, and mostly white. Curtains should be a sheer white, or made simply, in a sail cloth fabric. Other fabrics should be similar to sailcloth.

Accessories should not be over done, but should represent the type of beach you want to suggest. Shells in vases are good. Tropical plants work. Beach/boating items such as wake boards, flipflops on the wall, and even plastic beach buckets to hold small items can carry the theme.

Casual is a must. Hooks on the wall for hanging hats and clothes are good. These could be crafted out of a beach item with a little resourcefulness. Pegs could be drilled into a surf or wake board, or boat oar for example.

what dangers might be created by digging a hole for an outhouse at a beach cottage

you might put harm full toxins into the beach or into the lake/ocean tush killing wildlife…its not something i would do because why do that when you can get indoor plumming and save your self from doing the work and the smell… :S i hope this helped in anyway possible!

You can go to Baltimore, Maryland and that’s under 8 hrs from Dayton….
