Beach

Hi,

I’m considering having a holiday at the beginning of March in Malaysia and would like to know if anyone can recommend where to go for the most beautiful beaches, scenery and slice of culture. I know nothing about the place so open to any tips or suggestions please!

I’ll be flying from London, and plan to stay for a week or 10 days. I assume I’ll need to fly to Kuala Lumper and then go from there.

I’m going to be living in a student residence (single room) and won’t have much to work with. The room itself is long and somewhat narrow, as opposed to short and wide. I’m not allowed to paint the walls or anything, so I’m looking for decorative objects and stuff that I can physically place in my room.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Ebay has a lot of tiki items for sale. Also look up items online by the artist Shag.
I’m in Southern California and there are quite a few stores here that sell tiki items.
You can also line your walls with bamboo screens. World Market or Pier 1 would be good places to look. At the beginning of summer even Target had tiki stuff.

some friends and i were origionally thinking about gonig camping weekend after the fourth but now thinking about trying to find a cheap cottage or maybe a cheap house near the indiana dunes. any advice?

Do a goggle search on Miller Beach Rentals. But Good luck for the weekend after the 4th of July. July 11 and 12 is the Gary Airshow. Big event with over 500,000 people in attendance.

were having a party, and i understand that there are firepits already set up. what materials will i need to build a bonfire and how do i build one (how do i get one started)?

I’m looking for a beach rental to stay at around 8/22. I only want to stay 2-3 nights. I just need a one bedroom. I want to stay on the beach and don’t want to have to spend more than $125 a night. Any good ideas?

If so how was your stay?

My wife and I stayed at the Carribean resort last year for the food and wine festival at Epcot. We live in Tampa and will go over to Disnesy every so often with our kids as well as by ourselves. We have stayed at many of the Hotels on property as well as a couple off property. The Carribean Resort is a nice solid pick at Disney. The rooms are a normal size, nothing spectacular but nothing offensive either. The resort is nice with multiple lakes, a beach with lounge chairs(you can’t swim in the lake), hammocks and an above average pool area. It replicates what you might think of staying at an island in the Carribean (obviously) but we enjoyed it and would stay there again especially for the price.
Getting to the parks was smooth as well. The resort is centrally located and the buses come frequently versus some of the other resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge where you may spend 45 minutes on a bus just getting to the park.

I am trying to plan a trip for my mother and myself, and I will be flying out of Memphis, and she will be flying out of Dallas. We want to go to the beach out of the country, so we figured that Mexico would be a relatively inexpensive place. Do you have any ideas on beach cities there that are less expensive to fly into and less expensive to stay in? Thanks so much!!

yea i dnt know whr Hay is but yea…. theres a few spots you can go if you want to go north of Sydney you could Byron bay but if you want 2 go south of Sydney you could go to Batemans bay,or if you keep going south so your nearly at the Victorian border you could go to the town i live in called merimbula is a great place to go during the summer, the beaches are quiet pretty and there is about 4-5 beaches there is also a lake, for leisure you could go to magic mountain( theme park), go whale watching, go to the beach 20 mins drive away you could go to the historic town of ben Boyd where they used to hunt whales and go to the whale museum, 1/2 hour drive north of merimbula you could go and visit the Bega cheese factory, its very good. there is a lot of accommodation in merimbula ranging from about 4 starts to a caravan park. its a very pretty town and is located about an hour and a half from the Victorian border and is about 6 hours drive from sydney.

I want to put sand down on the floor of the mud room/laundry room. I have dogs and that is the door they use to go out. Any ideas on how to accomplish this project?

Sure you can do anything, but think if you are ready to clean up any sand that may come in to the main area of the house, how often would you have to add more sand. What about the smell, also do yo have a place to relocate your mud room
