Where should we go for a great beach holiday this summer in NSW?

We still want to be close to restaurants and nightlife. We are aged between 25-30yrs old so need a good variety of things to do & see as well as swimming, snorkelling and surfing.
For beautiful beaches and great nightlife you have to go to Byron Bay – quite a way north from Sydney but worth visiting at least once. Closer to Sydney Newcastle has great beaches, Terrigal on the Central Coast has beautiful beaches and would have some nightlife but not as much choice as the main cities.
If you are not from Sydney why dont you stay in Bondi or Coogee spectacular swimming and plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Cronulla, it’s got plenty of restaurants and nightlife, swimming & surfing, it’s a great atmosphere I love the place and you will too, plenty of people your age too.

you don’t say where you live but from my experience, once you get out of the Sydney, Newcastle or maybe Wollongong you can pretty much forget nightlife.
Manly Beach or Coogee Beach would be a good holiday.
I love Forster and Port Macquarie but there’s no nightlife that I have found.

Anywhere down the south coast is beautiful. You will probably have to stay close to a larger town for the restaurants and nightlife though. A lot of places out of town have shuttle buses to take you to the larger towns during holiday season.

Huskisson Beach in Jervis Bay. This is the best beach I have been to in all of Australia. Rated #1.

Byron bay, its the north coast of NSW its full of beautiful beaches and the night life is pretty good as well.. or coffs harbour similar thing. or if you want to see the nsw South coast bate mans bay or Wollongong is good place to visit as well.
