Where to go for beach holiday in Europe in end of October?

October 102011

Where can I go in Europe where it’s warm and I can swim on the beach at the end of October?

In Europe, swimming in the sea will basically mean swimming in the Mediterranean, so you want to find the warmest part for October! Cyprus is a very good choice as it’s at the eastern end of the Med, closest to the Middle East coastline. So you get the warmth and sunshine for much longer than, say, Spain or Italy.

For the best value for money, look at holidays in North Cyprus. Thanks to the exchange rate with the Turkish lira, prices are around a third cheaper than in south Cyprus, which uses the Euro. You can fly on budget airlines to south Cyprus and get a taxi transfer across the border (very relaxing way to arrive!), or fly a charter airline into Ercan airport for a shorter transfer time.

At the end of October, you’ll want to look for sheltered beaches rather than exposed, and you’ll want to swim in the heat of the day. personally, I’d opt for a hotel that’s on the beach but also has a swimming pool, preferably an indoor one too, so you’ve got all your options covered, as outdoor pools in Cyprus are not usually heated except by the sun…

For a lively all-in beach resort, try the Acapulco Beach Resort; for an excellent value luxury hotel see the Malpas, and for best privacy and value for money, hire a villa or apartment!

Couples beach holiday in Europe next summer?

October 82011

My boyfriend and I are going to book a holiday for next summer and want some ideas on locations/hotels. We have decided to stick to Europe as more exotic places were out of our budget for the luxury we wanted.

Our budget is up to £2000 but this includes all spending money so i was thinking of spending £1500 on flights and hotel.

We are looking for:

somewhere hot
a bit of luxury
next to the beach
not too crowded

Hope someone can recommend somewhere amazing!

Not too crowded. Sorry to say but beaches are always crowded in Europe during the summer, so it doesn’t really matter where you go. I would personaly choose the Greek Islands, Dubrovnik, or maybe even Cyprus or Turkey. It can REALLY HOT in the summer though, so be prepared!

Best beach holiday for two 21 year old lads? (looking for women, good beach & good night life)?

September 152011

Where is the best Beach holiday for two 21 year old lads to go? (looking for women, good beach and good nightlife?)
Not looking for:
Magaluf < sausage fest.
Bulgaria Sunny beach < Mafia run and heard too many bad reviews of muggings and thefts.
ALSO take into account: we are not chavs, and do not enjoy the company of these.

Ive heard Estonia – Tallinn. Was good, and also Turkey – Gumbet.

Thanks for any help :)

Tallinn has good nightlife and a good beach also but you must wait until summer to enjoy the beach cause its really cold here at the moment. in the summer the best beach in Estonia is in Pärnu, the summer capital. It has a good nightlife aswell.

Anyone taken a beach holiday with baby?

September 132011

My son will be 2 years and baby will be 6 months. we would like to take a beach holiday and were thinking of fiji but am not sure about the vaccinations for baby. we are from australia. any suggestions for holidays with your young babies appreciated thanks!

We have done this. Not with a 6 month old but with a one year old and three year old at the time.

First – get a good travel agent who can help you pick a place.

We stayed at Club Med in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was amazing but a bit pricey. Probably far for an Aussie to go, but look at other Club Med locations. Not the adult spots, but he family resorts. They are awesome. Beaches resorts are also highly recommended.

What tampons are best for a beach holiday for a young teen?

September 82011

im 13 and will be on my period for the first part of my holiday in egypt… i have never used tampons before but now i will need to , to be able to swim. what would be the best brand and size to use ?
ok thankyouu x

I’ve always used the plastic (I’ve never been able to put cardboard ones in…I started off trying to wear them, tried to put them in various times, but it never worked…then I used plastic and got it in on the first try!) by Playtex. Normally I use the regular size, I don’t think I’ve ever tried the slim and that’s always worked fine, but their heavy size when I’m on a heavy day. If you’re uncomfortable using the regular size or want to start out with something smaller you can always try the slim fitting ones which I think are supposed to be easier to insert. Good luck! xoxo

WA or QLD for a cheap but nice beach holiday?

August 312011

Which would be better for a cheap but nice beach couple holiday? Looking for sort of a resort sort of deal, nothing over $200 a night. Thanks :)

Any suggestions/recommendations for specific venue?

I would say go for QLD. The Gold and Sunshine coasts are very well known for their beaches. There are also many islands, like the Whitsundays, which are very beautiful and more private.
You also have the Great Barrier Reef which has some of the best snorkeling in the world (in you are into that sorta of thing)
The only downside is that QLD will be more touristy because WA isn’t a big holiday destination

On average, what is the cheapest all inclusive last minute beach holiday i can expect for july?

June 182011

Me and my girlfriend are hoping to go on holiday abroad for 1 week during end of July/ early August time and was wondering how cheap I could expect to pay for the holiday. The destination doesn’t really matter as long as it is a beach holiday. Oh yeah and we will be travelling from the UK. p.s. price must include flights.
Oh, and I am looking for price per person.

turkey, bulgaria, tunisia and morocco are the cheapest places to go in the school holidays probably lookin between £300 -£500 pp and they all use their own currency so it is so cheap there so if i was u i would have a look at a sc option and ai and if the ai comes up around £250 more than the sc i would go sc cus there is no way u could spend £250 for 2 of u on food and drinks for a week in these countries,a pint of beer in bulgaria is around 40pence x

What is the best beach holiday not far away from UK?

June 82011

A beautiful and peaceful beach holiday location, not very touristy, nice and quiet is what I am looking for. If possible can you suggest what is the best place to stay there as well?
Max 4-5 hrs flight

Egypt is about your best bet or if your budget will strtch to it then Dubai. Neither are all that unless you pay for the very best, but you are guaranteed the good weather.
