I wanted to go metal detecting at 1 ocean avenue, ocean grove NJ which is the beach at ocean grove, but im not sure if im allowed to. Help?

From what I can gather it is Town owned… that town is 1. Pretty tight knit, and two, pretty famous… The town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, so I highly doubt you can go metal detecting there…

Plus, I would be afraid to… Especially not on a Sunday

I want to redo my room with a beach/ocean feel. I’ve picked up some decorations but I need a "bigger picture" in how to make it feel like this. Without painting the walls and being relatively inexpensive. Thanks!

Is the ocean/beach to big for everyone in it to get eletrocuted? How many eletrics must fall in there for the people inside to get eletrocuted?

Lifeguards. Scuba diving teachers if you’re in like the Caribbean. Hmm you could be a fisherwoman. The beaches I go to are very busy so there’s like boat rides and helicopter rides you could sail/fly. And to be near the beach you could work on the boardwalk.

Well i live 2 1/2 hours away from syracuse but I was just wondering, where the closest ocean beach is? i really wanted to go to maine, but thats not very close. i would prefer a beach with tide pools maybe? but just any ocean beach closest to syracuse ny

We’re in Virginia and our family has been to Maine, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Carolinas and Florida. Last summer we vacationed in Canada in Toronto and Niagara Falls. I would recommend you strongly considering the beaches on the Great Lakes because for example in downtown Toronto they have ferries taking people to Toronto Islands and near Niagara Falls, would you believe that it is in close proximately to 3 of the Great Lakes and the "ice wine" there is terrific.

Sea Bright, NJ would probably be the closest. Take 75 down to Toledo and pick up 80 East. Take 80 East into PA and take SR 33 south to I-78. Take 78 East to 287 South to the Garden State Parkway South. Exit at Exit 117 and follow SR 36 until you see ocean.

i have a one week vacation and i wanted to go to the atlantic ocean beach somewhere in the South, NOrth, carolina area and somewhere in the top part of florida. Can anyone tell me where there is a good beach area, good hotels, and fun places to go to.

Beaches are not IN the atlantic, they are around it

best beach in my opinion is not on the atlantic but the Gulf Of Mexico and it’s Siesta Key in Sarasota FL… white sand beaches are the best and the gulf breeze is undeniable I like it because it’s not touristy, you can relax there.

if you want touristy try Va Beach, I grew up there, lots of bars and shops on the strip. Ocean City MD is the same way.

I’m trying to get from Concord, CA to Ocean Beach in San Francisco. Bart doesn’t go to Ocean Beach so what’s the closest stop to Ocean Beach and where do I go from there? How much will the total trip cost? Thank you!

BART to any of the Downtown San Francisco stations (i.e. Embarcadero, Montgomery Street, Powell Street, Civic Center). Get off the train and go to the station concourse. Then find a MUNI ticket machine, pay your fare ($4.00 round-trip), and enter the MUNI platform area by tagging the sensor with your ticket.

Board the N-Judah line for Ocean Beach. Since it is the final destination, the signs on the train and platform displays will say "Ocean Beach." Unfortunately, the N terminus is close to the bonfire pits and the sand isn’t terribly clean in this area.

You can also board the L-Taraval line for the San Francisco Zoo. Get off at 46th Avenue and you are two blocks away from a more attractive part of the beach.

NOTE: When you return, you need to tag the sensor onboard the train to validate the return portion of your ticket. Don’t forget to do this. Although inspections are sporadic at best, a ticket that hasn’t been validated can get you into trouble with fare enforcement officers.

Im going to Nashville for spring break to find an apartment but we wanted to go to the beach before heading home to Arkansas.. any suggestions on the closest or cheapest place?

The closest is probably Panama City Beach, and that is 8 hours from Nashville. The ocean is not near Tennessee.

You are at the height of Spring Break, so it is whatever is available at this point. Look at www.mapquest.com for beach options. Then look at www.tripadvisor.com for hotel prices. Remember that you may need someone over the age of 21 to be in the room. Too many bad experiences with spring breakers in the hotel industry.

I’ve looked at average water temps, but still a little confusing. I went to Daytona Beach last year the middle of May and the water was warm enough to swim in then, and I thought that was a little early. But hubby and I are planning a trip there this year, but was wanting to go before May. BUT I refuse to go unless I can swim in the ocean. So, if you live close to there, or you just know, when is the soonest the ocean is warm enough to get in? Thanks!

I would say June. It takes a long time for the ocean to heat up after a cold winter. It’s fifty degrees in the water right now.
