How could I give my room the beach feel to it?

I’m just a teenager and my parents don’t want me to give it any permanent changes. No painting the walls, and I have light blue walls. And I like to hang up pictures on my walls.

The light blue is perfect for a beach style room.

Use a light colored one with light colored twigs.
You can really use white as an accent color.
This sort of window covering would look great. Long white curtains would look good also with or without the shades.
White lamps or even one green one along with some sea shells will make your room fresh and light !

I want to decorate a hotel room to be a beach theme, (shells, light up palm trees, candles) to make it beachy for my girlfriend who loves the beach. I am looking for other ideas to pull off this wedding proposal…please help!

put coconut scented things in the room, and you could put a surf board in the room. and play some recording of the ocean. wave noises.

Paint your stuff like bed frame and dresser white and buy a bamboo chair or other bamboo furniture, white candles, jam jars with sand and shells in them, maybe buy a little indoor water fountain/water fall. As for bedding you could always get light blue floral bedding and one of those white bed canopies. Framed black and white photography of beaches. And get beachy sented incense.

I have a beach themed room and was wondering what color I should paint it. Right now it is a pale yellow with a white bed spread and medium tone brown furniture. I just want to change the paint color not my furniture or bed spread. Why color would look good with medium tone brown furniture? Please help!

I think a pale, aquamarine blue would look lovely with your white bedspread and brown furniture. It would give the room a fresh, breezy "spa" feel. Think of the clear, light turquoise of the ocean on a bright day. Stripes in shades of green, yellow, white, and deep turquoise in thow pillows would look pretty in throw pillows for your bed. A small natural wicker or white wicker chair plus a little table and lamp would provide a reading corner. Go light and airy with accessories. I still opt for the pale aquarmarine color. Think beach glass – those clear amazing colors that look so fresh.

I’m 15, my room is small, and I want it beach themed.

Since my room is small, I gotta be flexible.

So I need ideas, please!!!!!!!!!!????????

I have two windows.

I have a slide door, not a swing door.

I have a desk, an armoir, a twin bed, a filing cabinet with a tv on top, a bookcase, and a nightstand. That’s some of the furniture.

*I will not paint my room.

There is plenty of floor space, but not enough for a beach chair considering the furniture.

Fish netting,hang it in a corner near the ceiling,randomly pinning it in various places,then hang or attach sea shells to it at random….
Use ocean colors with your bedding,maybe even find a bed cover with sea creatures on it…or throw pillows with sea creatures…
Use ocean related knick knacks thru out the room…like miniature lighthouses,boats,sea shells etc…
Using a bedside table lamp with white shade on it…paint the shade , ocean items or use stickers to decorate the shade..
Use a rug that has the same colors as your bedding or ocean themed picture on it..
Drapes should be wispy,maybe even sheers,or match bedding colors as well…
Try using a mesquito net over your bed,like a canopy…makes it seem tropical…
Display ocean/beach scenery pictures on your walls…

Pirate room at Carribean Beach Resort in Disneyworld?

Has anyone stayed in these rooms? Are they worth the extra money? I’ve heard that Carribean Beach has LOOOONG walks to the bus stops so i’m hoping they have premium spots on property. Or what moderate resort would be the best for a midlife crisis 40th birthday for a guy and his kids??

Have stayed at CB twice – have seen the pirate rooms in Trinidad South – the furthest walk to Ole Port Royal which is the hub of the resort. This is the location for restaurants, shops and the main resort pool. (Which is wonderful) For the age of my clan – Pirate rooms are not worth the money for the walk. Now – the walk to the bus stop is not bad, each village has it’s own and there is an internal shuttle you can ride but it takes some time just waiting. When taking the bus to the parks it will stop at each village and PR. We have walked and rode if our feet were just too tired on the internal shuttle. The preferred rooms are in Trinidad North and Martinique which we utilized last year. These are the same cost as the pirate rooms but are close to Port Royal and for us worth the money. I think the loooong walk your hear about is to Port Royal.
CB is 200 acres surrounding a lake with resort areas themed like the caribbean in color and feel. We really love the resort. Each section has it’s own small pool and bus stop. The bus will make rounds to each of the resort sections. They are villages—Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba and Jamaica.
We really like it here despite the size. I’m beyond my "midlife" crisis age you mention and my family are 20, 20 & 14. We like the counter service choices, hammocks on the beach and you can rent a boat to just lull around the lake.
Most of all, don’t stress just have fun!

what are the sizes of dorm room beds at cal state long beach?

i’m planning to stay in the dorms at cal state long beach in august. but i need to know wut are the sizes of the beds so i know wut size comforters to bring.
also do they have any type of appliances in the dorm room. if not can i bring my own? like a microwave or a small george forman grill?
and i’m diabetic, my medicine needs to be refrigerated, can i bring a small refrigerator?

Typically all res. hall beds are twin, sometimes extra long. However, regular sheets will still work on the long beds.

Go to the website for Cal State, type in "Housing" they will have an FAQ section. Depending on the ages of the dorms they will or will not allow you to bring a refridgerator. Some campuses do provide microfridges. However, since you have medication they will do a waiver for you to have the fridge. I’d e-mail ‘em and ask them specifically since it varies.
